Pump finisher combines happy faces with aching biceps

Finally the pump finisher is added as a phase in the training.

I “invented” the concept 4-5 years ago when I saw people leaving the session with a happy face whenever I programmed some curls and sit-ups in the end of it.

It got me thinking.

If we can leave the session feeling jacked we will probably connect more good thoughts to the session – after all we are training for increased fitness.

Good thoughts probably inspire to motivation and motivation to increased gains.

The finisher layout is shorter than 7 minutes and is more or less training with low to medium weights close to failure.

Example:

6 min AMRAP of:

  • 10 DB Curls
  • 10 V-ups
  • 10 Skull Crushers

Looks pretty rad does it not? Who does not love a little arm pump?
